Paul Raymond, Clerk and I, Chairman of Wilma Township, attended a special meeting of the Pine County Commissioners, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 6 pm, Pine County Courthouse in Pine City, MN.
In attendance were other Pine County government officials, included but not limited to county commissioners, city and township officers.
The theme was Public Safety and presentations were done by County Attorney Reese Frederickson and County Sheriff Jeff Nelson.
County Attorney Reese Frederickson explained a proposed social host ordinance for the county to counteract teenage drinking parties and gave a profile of the increase in law enforcement and prosecutions in our county and crime statistics in the county. Sheriff Jeff Nelson reported on county patrol staffing and how the dispatch center is staffed and operates.
